LAKE RESEARCH PARTNERS CONGRATULATES CHICAGO ALDERMAN-ELECT SANDI JACKSON

WASHINGTON, DC (March 1, 2007) -- Lake Research Partners (LRP) is proud to have worked with Sandi Jackson in her successful campaign for Alderman in Chicago's Seventh Ward.

In this closely watched election against a sitting-Alderman, Jackson won an impressive 57% of the vote in a four-candidate field. Jackson defeated Darcel Beavers, the daughter of long-time Ward 7 Alderman and current Cook County Commissioner William Beavers.

Jackson's early polling showed that while voters in the district were relatively satisfied with the direction of Chicago overall, they wanted major changes in the Seventh Ward - especially around jobs, crime, education, and getting things done. Jackson positioned herself as the energetic agent of that change. Jackson's overwhelming victory, earned through her hard work and discipline, validated the polling strategy.

Celinda Lake, President of LRP said, "The voters of Ward 7 had a choice: continue with politics as usual or vote for a new direction for their ward. They chose Sandi Jackson a new and dynamic leader for Ward 7 and for Chicago."

LRP would like to extend its congratulations to Jackson's terrific team and family whose hard work made the polling numbers a reality.

For more information please contact Celinda Lake or Joshua Ulibarri in LRP's Washington, DC office at 202-776-9066.
